Ps Vitas Shocking Sales third week sales

The Vita is three weeks old. After selling 325,000 units in week one and 72,479 in week two, the Vita hits a fresh low with 42,648 sales.

The Vita places in fourth position, yet again trailing behind the Wii, PlayStation 3 and its PSP predecessor. Yet again, the top ten software chart contains no Vita games.

It’s far too early to tell how the PlayStation Vita will eventually fare. While I’ve got a feeling it’ll do okay in the long run, this is definitely a damp start, to say the least. Sony, to date, has refused to comment on the situation.

Expect Sony to talk a lot about how many Vita units it “shipped” in North America, while never telling us how many actually sold.

Hardware Chart:

  1. 3DS: 197,952
  2. PS3: 67,199

  6. DSi LL: 3,356
  7. 360: 2,453
  8. DSi: 2,418
  9. PS2: 1,659
  10. DS Lite: 28

Software Chart:

  1. Mario Kart 7 (3DS, Nintendo) – 109,000 (1,160,000)

The Sims 3 Showtime official press release

Become the star of the show in The Sims 3 Showtime. Perform tricks and sing your way to fame in Starlight Shores, an all-new world that showcases your Sims’ hidden talents as they go from small town heroes to larger than life performers.

As a magician, your Sim begins their career on the streets performing magic tricks for tips. They’ll visit new venues and meet with the owners to book larger gigs and gain experience. Magicians have unique social interactions that give them the ability to perform small-scale tricks on other Sims such as pulling a coin from an ear and making butterflies and doves magically appear. As magicians level up, they acquire new objects that can be used on-stage. For some magical fun, your Sims can use the Box of Mystery to perform the “swords of destiny” by carefully placing knives through the box without stabbing the Sim inside. Beware the Box of Danger! If a Sim fails at correctly executing their tricks with this object, death may come calling.

Singers are unique in the game as they can accept paying jobs such as performing singing telegrams to gain experience. Singing telegrams are also a social feature, and the types of jobs your Sims will receive will directly correlate to the happenings around town. If a Sim in town has just lost their job, cheer them up. If it’s a Sim’s birthday, sing them a song. Like the other careers, singers can also take their talents to the public performing for tips in parks and local hang-outs.  As singers progress, stage props, costumes and new songs will be unlocked to help them look the part and sing a variety of tunes. Singers will want to make it to the top to star in their very own big venue concert.

In addition, all careers – acrobat, magician and singer –will unlock special objects and outfits directly relating to that career. All outfits can be customised in Create a Sim to match the look of the venue and stage for your Sim’s performance. Also, all careers are able to participate in SimFest – a giant talent show for acrobats, magicians and singers to compete against one another in town. For Sims who particularly love a challenge, a new dual interaction is available in-game for Sims to compete against one another outside of SimFest.

The Sims 3 Showtime is currently available for pre-order*. While supplies last, all pre-orders will be upgraded to the Limited Edition expansion pack which includes an added venue and stage for players to place in their world. This stage is fully customisable, using the in-game backgrounds, lighting, props and special effects.

GoldenEye 007: Reloaded Review

Hey Guys its solo here and today I will be reviewing Activisions goldeneye reloaded.
Goldeneye reloaded is eurocon’s remade and remastered version of the 1997 classic for N64.
The game is boasted to be a more exciting version of the original with am even better multiplayer feature than ever before.
Gameplay
The gameplay in this game is standard and has the basic features that most modern first person shooters have; a single player campaign, a multiplayer function and a Call of duty inspired M:16 special ops feature.

The single player campaign is possibly the best feature of the whole game; it has a great sense of nostalgia which is sure to please fans of the original. There is around six hours of story gameplay which may not be long but it is certainly captivating however the layout of each stage can be repetitive  consisting of a stealth mission a heavy assault or a time constrained mission however there is versatility in the your choice weather to approach the mission stealthily or “guns blazing”.

The M:16 Special Ops mode is nothing special it takes aspects from the single player campaign; players have short objectives to complete within time limits such as defender or destroy the objective, I didn’t find it to be particularly engaging but it is an opportunity to increase the longevity of the game.

The multiplayer feature has to be the most disappointing feature in the game it lacks the excitement of its predecessor it has no real appeal in comparison to the first person shooters in the charts. It is nothing in comparison to its predecessor the online mode brings something new to the game but still doesn’t satisfy its lack of ingenuity..

However the gameplay leaves much to be desired. It is very dated and is more similar to call of duty 3 than anything, there is no variation in the gameplay players are limited to crouching shooting and instant action sequences I think what makes it that more disappointing is that the game had the potential to be much more dynamic but in all honesty brought nothing fresh to the table.
Graphics

The graphics are probably the most disappointing aspect of this game although it is very true to the original & gives fans of the original game a very nostalgic feeling however its graphical display did not meet my expectations it could have been much better but the graphics were similar to call of duty 3 & therefore below par.

Overall Goldeneye Reloaded is a true blood remake of its predecessor it has all the great features in the original & more however I feel like Eurocon failed to bring back the spark the original game had & replaced it with pointless features that are simply implemented to conform to modern standards iv decided to give this game a 7/10 although it has its flaws it is an entertaining game and does have its merits with its currently low price of £25 I would recommend picking this one up
